PTE is a computer-based English language proficiency test that evaluates a candidate's English language ability for academic or immigration purposes. The test is meant for non-native English speakers and measures the skills of a candidate in the four areas such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills of . PTE Academic assesses real-life, academic English, so the candidate will hear excerpts from lectures, image, and charts. You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will be exposed to the type of accents you will encounter in everyday life. PTE Academic is accepted for student and migration applications across the world. The PTE score can also be used to apply for visa in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and it is also accepted for Canada’s SDS applications. The exam is conducted throughout the year at the 35 designated Test Centers across the country. PTE test scores are available online within 48 hours after the exam date and the score is valid for a period of two years. The PTE Academic UKVI is a Secure English Language Test (SELT) that is approved by the UK Home Office for all UK visas that require a 4-skill language test or candidates who wish to work, study, or live in the UK. It may please be noted that there is no difference in the content or format of the PTE Academic UKVI exam when compared to the PTE Academic exam except the difference in the registration process.
PTE core is similar to PTE Academic and will be available this test is recognised by the Canadian government (IRCC) for migration, work or citizenship visas. This is a fully computer-based test taken in a test center. The duration of the exam is for two hour test assessing all 4 modules- Speaking, Writing, Listening & Reading PTE test results will be available in 48 hours. PTE core has 19 question types. The Speaking and Writing test is for 50 minutes approximately. The Reading and listening test is approximately for 30 minutes each.
